Clay Road Signs
We made our road signs using clay today.
It was very enjoyable and we didn't even make the classroom too messy!

Chameleon Calendar Art
We made fantastic chameleons for our calendar art.
They are colourful and crazy. The background is black because Madagascan chameleons give off a glow at night time!
They are some of the best pieces of art work we have ever made!
They will be for sale as calendars, diaries and greeting cards. More details to come.
You can also view the art in our classroom.

Best Whizzing Wheels Day ever.
On Thursday
the 6th September Syndicate Three had a Whizzing Wheels Day. It was
at Waiuku Primary and the skateboard park.
First we got
our wheels and went to the court by the senior playground. Then we got into our
groups and went to our first activity. The first activity was riding in shapes
with Mrs McKay and it was fun.
Next we went
to Caleb’s Mum and Dad. We did relays and races. First we did a fast relay race
and then another fast relay race. It was only my group and another one. Then we
had a slow race that turned out to be a fast one. My group won and then it was
girls and then a mixed team.
Finally we
went our last activity with Mrs Pearce and we were swerving around cones and
then going straight ahead.
After that
we rode up top with our bikes and it was really hard. Then we had to put our
wheels away
It was the
best afternoon ever!

Wheels Day
On Thursday the 6th
of September Waiuku Primary’s Syndicate Three had a wheels day; almost every
child in Syndicate Three participated in this event.
The teachers of
Syndicate Three had a sequenced timetable, first of which they split the children
into groups; three groups for bikes because 60 children came on bikes, one
group for scooters and another group for children who came with skateboards.
The skateboarders set
off to the skateboard park then the bikers departed from the kids with scooters
and headed for the field.
The first activity the
bikers did… well it depends which group as for there were three groups each
doing a range of activities
The first group of
bikers had to ride in a certain shape or form of the teacher’s choice.
The second group
practiced their steering by swerving around cones and at the same time racing
with their opponent.
Eventually the children
reluctantly biked up the hill. This event had a great outcome to the K4S topic
participating and contributing.

Whizzing Wheels Day
On Thursday 6th September it was
Whizzing Wheels Day.
You could bring a bike, scooter or skateboard.
Everyone waited for lunch roll to be done then we
were off!
Bikers went on the field, skateboarders went to
the skate park and scooters were on the court.
We all impatiently waited for the instructions. We
had to do a course going around cones I didn’t understand it because I had to
go first and I got embarrassed. Soon I got the hang of it and it was really
fun.
Next we did a relay race I was against a boy named
Jimi. I was off to a good start but when I swerved around Fiona, I slipped and
suddenly smash! I landed on my elbows I grazed my knees and hands, good thing I
had my pads on!
Finally we weaved in and out of cones continuously.
Everyone pike out after a few laps, except Shardia and I. Fiona said I deserved
an award. I felt proud.
It was the best day ever!
Amazing Whizzing Wheels Day
On Thursday the 6th of September after lunch Syndicate 3
at Waiuku Primary School had Whizzing Wheels Day.
First we got put into three different groups I was in Mrs McKay’s
group for the first activity. We were making shapes with our bikes. First we
made a circle suddenly we made two circles and after that we made a number
eight.
Next we went to our next activity. I was with the Cherry’s. we did
relays and races. My friends and I didn’t do the races we just rode up and down
the field. the boys kept on winning.
After that we went to our last activity. I was with Mrs Pearce. We
did weaving in and out of cones then up the rest of the field and back again.
my legs were aching really badly. After that we went up top and put our bikes
in the bike rake.
Whizzing Wheels Day was really fun I hope we do it again.
