3 Smart Little Wolves and the Small bad pig

 

Once upon a time in the year 2000 on June 15^th it was dawn and the 3 smart little wolves had just turned 10. Their mother said to Ruby, Gem and Diamond “You’re all old enough from the woods and build your own houses.” So they all went and packed and said goodbye. Then they were off.

There was a small pig and they did stop to chat and got his business card. Diamond said “Gee Finbar seems like a nice… a nice” “PIG” exclaimed Gem. “Yea” Diamond said. Then Ruby said “That little PIG doesn’t fool me, remember what Mum said awhile ago?” “No” they both said. “Don’t ever trust PIGS!” said Ruby surprised they didn’t remember. “I don’t care.” said Diamond.

Later that night Diamond helped set up camp and she had secretly ordered building materials from Finbar.

The next morning Ruby looked over her left shoulder were Diamond was sleeping and screamed “Where’s Diamond!” Then Ruby heard a very soft Bang…Bang noise in the distance. She thought she heard a pig noise and she thought to herself, ‘Diamond, how dare you’. Ruby climbed out of the tent and the pig noise was gone but in the distance she could see a house made of straw. Ruby went back inside and there was the pig noise again. She turned and looked at Gem. Ruby figured out it was just Gem snoring. She walked over and knocked on the door to the straw house and then Gem got up from the tent. Ruby and Diamond started to argue then all of a sudden a shadow loomed over Diamond and she hid inside then slammed the door shut. “Little wolf, little wolf let me come in” said Finbar. “Nah” “Well then I’ll charge and charge” then Diamond ran out of the house like the wind.

Gem set off. After awhile she saw a flamingo and said. “Ello, do you mind if I have some wood?” “No” the flamingo said. So she took the wheelbarrow and the wood and Gem promised to return it. She built her house and added some furniture then returned the wheelbarrow with one piece of wood left. “Thanks” said the flamingo with sarcasm “You’re welcome” said Gem (meaning it). Finbar was coming but Diamond got there first and they all abandoned Gem’s house then ran off to Ruby’s house.

Her house was made out of bricks and had a chimney. They were puffing and panting and Ruby said “I CAN’T UNDERSTAND YOU!” “Well” “I can’t understand you” she said again. “We are… getting chas…ed by… Finbar “WHAT! WHAT DID I TELL YOU!” said Ruby. It was coming up to 9:00pm. They whispered a plan. They turned the lights on and played music really, really LOUDLY and they turned the fire on and put a huge cooking pot with boiling water and spices in over the fire. Then “Little wolf, little wolf let me come in” “NO WAY” they all said. “I’m coming down your chimney then!” All of a sudden SPLASH! The little pig was now bacon.

They could smell dinner and that was the end of that. And they all lived happily ever after. (Dinner tasted nice.)

Slaves in Roman Times

Slaves in Roman.

Once upon a time there lived a king.

He was very rich! But one day, one of the slaves escaped a month later. His name was Androcles. It was a cold and dark night! Androcles had to hide. On a Saturday he was found in a cave. Later on that day he new what he would suffer. Nor did any of the knights know that Androcles had a lion friend and would not kill him because Androcles pulled a thorn out of the lions foot at the cave! The king called for the knights to bring in the chosen lion. Androcles stood very still waiting for the lion to attack but it didn’t. Androcles was so confused then he realized that it was his old pal from the cave! Then the king said “I will now announce that this lion will stay with Androcles and is not my slave any more & will be a prince!” The crowd goes wild. And they all lived happily ever after! And for the king well he became a much nicer king. The lion got named  : Melborn. The end.

ANZAC soldiers sneak attack

Almost all of the great soldiers on Australia and New Zealand sneak attack got killed, 11,000 men. ANZAC stands for: Australia and New Zealand Army Corps.

In 1915 in April on the 25^th at 4:15 am ANZAC soldiers prepared to make a sneak attack.

The Ottoman Army knew that New Zealand and Australia were coming but New Zealand and Australia didn’t know they saw them. The moon had just gone down and the guns were shooting. Many were killed.

ANZAC soldiers did this (but lost the battle) to give us freedom and to protect our country in WW1.

Australia and New Zealand went to battle or war in the country called Turkey in Gallipoli at the beach that used to be known as   Z beach. It is now called ANZAC cove.

To remember the soldiers who fought at war and have been killed New Zealand and Australia wear poppies and lay wreaths on memorials. They also have a moment of silence.

Craftermorning

In the morning on Monday some of room 12  got to do crafting with some ladies called Liz. They came in to help us. We made cards for the summer carnival.

First we got to pick a colour of paper and put pop up stickers on them. I made three cards. I made a pop up butterfly on one of mine. Other people put owls and flowers on theirs.

Next some people got to do a card that looked really pretty. There was a machine and you chose a design and put it through and turned the handle. When you had finished it, the design was pressed on to the card

Lastly we got to decorate them.
