 The little wolves and one big bad pig.

Once upon a time there were three little wolves called Nicole, Jessie and Alix .They always fought it was horrible.  One day their dad said “now you need to stop fighting” “Jessie started it” said Alix. “Now it’s time for you to go live in your own houses”.

So off they went to find a house but on the way they fought. Alix yelled “Stop!  Even though I am the youngest wolf I still have to tell you to stop fighting”. So they kept walking. Jessie said “I’m sick of fighting I’m building my own house.” The first wolf built her house out of apples.

Suddenly a big shadow came across her house she looked up and screamed! THE BIG BAD PIG!!!!!She ran inside her house “the big bad pig is after me what am I goanna do now”. She was shivering with fear she started to shout “Go away!” “No!” said the pig “Then I’ll eat and I’ll eat and I’ll eat your house down”.  Jessie ran and ran.

Meanwhile Nicole was making her house out of necklaces and jewellery. She likes being pretty. Her sister ran inside and said “THE BIG BAD PIG is coming!” Nicole screamed and ran inside. “Little wolves little wolves let me come in” “No not by the hair on my skinny skin skin I will not let you in” “then I’ll put and I’ll put and I’ll put it all on!” So he unstuck the jewellery and put it all on and suddenly it all collapsed.

They screamed and ran as fast as they could and went to their sister’s house. Her name was Alix. She was a smarty pants she built her house out of bricks. Just then her sister’s said to Alix “run inside big bad pig is coming” So they ran inside to hide but not Alix .She knew that it would be so tough enough that the pig wouldn’t snort it down .

Just then they heard a loud knock on the door. “Little wolves little wolves let me come in”. “No not by the hair on my skinny skin skin I won’t let you in!” So he snorted and snorted and he snorted but he could not snort it down. Then he saw the window open and said” I’m coming in!” when the pig was half way through the window Alix put a pot full of boiling water  by the window and then the pig fell in and burnt his bottom .He screamed “curse you wolves ! ‘And he ran away.

 

So the wolves lived happily ever after.

These are the people that were hiding and we were finding because we were trying to find the right clothes to wear when we ride bikes so that cars can see us easily. We found out that a fluro vest, light blue and white are the best colours to wear.

Butterfly Creek

On Wednesday 30 of May Room 12 went to Butterfly Creek to for a trip.

When we got there we had to get into our group I was in Jo’s group.

First we went to listen to a man called Paul he is a bug expert. After that we went to the crocodile encounter

The crocodile was huge and they didn’t get to feed it because the food was frozen. Then we went to the Aquarium there were lots of fish.

After that we went to the Butterfly house there were lots of Butterflies my favourite one was the blue moon.

Next we went to the bug house and we saw cockroaches yuck.

Next we went to the tarantulas there was a big dark black one it was scary.

Then we went to lunch and ate then played. After that we went to the farm there was new baby goats and bunnies I got to hold one. We got to feed the baby goats.

Then we went to the train there was a tree with a bum on it ha ha ha. Then it was time to go back the farm. Then we had one last play. Then we got into our group and went home.

That was a super duper fun.

Scary Spiders

Spiders are scary but they are helpful.

Some spiders are helpful.  Without spiders we would have too many insects.

All sorts of spiders can be different colours and they need to be hairy so they can stick to sloping and smooth surfaces. They are scary to some people. Spiders are scary but it’s just the look of them because the jaws of a tarantula and hair makes them look scary. It is interesting because the biggest spider is as big as a dinner plate The smallest spider is the size of a pin head.

When the mother dies the baby spiders sometimes eat her.

Some spiders live for a year and the tarantula can live for 15 years.  Some live in tunnels and under water and sometimes wood.

Their web helps them to catch their food like insects they wrap them up in silk. 

It’s very interesting what spiders can be.

The Monarch Butterfly

The monarch butterfly is colourful and it is a small insect.

 The butterfly lives in USA Mexico NZ it goes to a warm place in winter. It lays eggs on a swan plant.         

The monarch butter looks very beautiful with orange and black wings and white dots.

The butterfly eats nectar from flowers and sometimes eats rotten bananas and different kinds of fruit.

The monarch butterfly is poisonous. It pupates into a chrysalis that’s going to hatch.

They are the most beautiful butterfly you would have ever seen.
