Daffodil Day’s Importance

Daffodil Day is an awareness event for people with cancer some schools bring coins adds to their coin trail which goes to the Cancer Society.

Daffodil Day needs help so the Cancer Society can do the vital scientific research to find cures for all kinds of cancer.

The Cancer Society has been organising Daffodil Day in NZ since 1990 that’s 22 years!

The Cancer Society has chosen daffodils as its symbol because they grow at the beginning of spring which kind of means there is hope for people with cancer.

With your donation we can help people with cancer, just donate to the Cancer Society. By Amity.

Daffodil Day

Daffodil day

People have cancer around the world.

Daffodil Day is about people who have cancer. Your parents or siblings may not have cancer but it would be great if you supported by donating a gold coin. Another way of supporting people who gets affected by cancer is you can also wear green and yellow clothes. Daffodil Day is on the 31st August.

The Cancer Society started Daffodil Day in 1990, they help out people who get affected by cancer. Many people get affected by cancer and the society supports them.

Your donation gets sent to the Cancer Society which the Cancer Society uses it for scientific research to find, out more stuff to help out. Here’s another fact … did you know that the Cancer Society people don’t just raise money for scientific research they also teach children and adults how to avoid getting cancer.

Daffodils are bright yellow and green flowers that make people smile not just that daffodils bring hope, and represent a new life.

Daffodils slowly sprout as spring comes.

Please donate to give hope.

Amazing Open Day Room 12 by Fa'ulao

Amazing Open Day Room 12

I walked up the amazing hill.  I saw a lot of cars in the car park there was a million cars.  I walked through the old class door.  I was like dreaming in the air.  Some crowd of a lot of parents.  Logan’s and James’ and Laura’s and Michelle’s.
Suddenly something popped up.  Cross Country is cancelled.  It’s like my dog died.  I was sad.  I came on to the amazing flying carpet it will cheer me up.  It did.  We played amazing maths and made amazing lolly cake.  We went off to jump jam then suddenly the weather changed.  First it spit then the air like crying.

Road signs around the school

We went for a walk around our school to look at the road signs that are around us. If you ride your bike on the road you must obey these signs. We are going to make our own road signs for kids on bikes to follow.

WALT find out which colour clothing to wear when we cycle

These are the people that were hiding and we were finding because we were trying to find the right clothes to wear when we ride bikes so that cars can see us easily. We found out that a fluro vest, light blue and white are the best colours to wear.
