Can you help?

Room 12 are creating hand-made cards for the Summer Carnival.

We are going to use paper shapes and stamped designs, then collage them together to make some creative works of art.

Are you able to help us with any materials?  We have lots of coloured paper, and the light cardboard to make the cards out of.  If you can help us with any of the following items, please send them to school with your child.
* Paper 'punchies' - not the punch itself, just a whole lot of punched out shapes so that we can collage them.
* Stamped designs - again not the actual stamp, but would you please be able to stamp a whole lot of designs onto paper or light card so that we can cut them out?
* Scrapbooking paper scraps.  Maybe we can upcycle your offcuts?
* Envelopes (to fit an A5 size card folded in half A6???)
* Any other craft items that you think would be useful.

We are having 'crafternoons' each Thursday from 2:00- 2:55 so if you are a crafty person and would like to come and help us please let Mrs. McKay know.

Eel bones

In the holidays Liam, Noe and me went fishing in our creek.

First we munched the chicken and chucked the bones in the creek and waited for the eels.

Next the eels zoomed very quickly to gulp them down so we went to get the bamboo rods.

Lastly they’d taken all the bones so we gave up and stopped plus we didn’t catch anything

It was fun and I would like to do it again.

The water pipe and Rosey

In the weekend my cousin came to my house for a sleep over because her mum and dad were moving.

On Friday we stayed up late. First we got under the blanket with my torch.

Then we got my pens and pencils and paper and drew some pictures of butterflies and flowers.

After that I went into my mum’s room and I stayed the night in there. In the morning I woke up early and woke my cousin by tickling her feet.

Lastly we went down to a water pipe and I found some moving rocks.

 I hope my cousin comes back soon.

Pattern Fun

The Triangles maths group made some interesting patterns with the pegboards during construction time.

The Big Sleepover

In the weekend Jayden’s friend came to my house for a sleepover.

First we blew up the lilo.

Then we played some cool games like detention and scooters it was fun.

Next we had tea it was yum.

After that we went to bed Jayden and her friend’s stayed up until late in their beds

I want a sleepover now.

Going to School

Yesterday I went to school and it was fun.

First we did the roll.

Next we went to room16 for year3 p.a.t test, it was ok.

Then we did fitness which is basically jump jam.

After it was morning tea.

Finally we went to class.

An Fantastic Fun Late Night!

On Sunday we had a little party at my house with my parents friends and Steven and my friend Alex.

First Steven and I played Twister and some board games. Then we got bored. So we played my game that I made up. Then when we finished our game we heard a big bazooka bang on the door!

After that Dad went towards the door “Hi mate” said Alex’s dad. “Hi how are you?” Said Alex’s Mum. So me and Steven packed up and Alex came down. Steven pulled Alex into his room because he knows that I’m not allowed in there.

Last of all I went to the theatre room and read a magazine. Then we went to the table and had dinner and we all played happily together.

I had a fun evening.

The Full House

On Saturday my cousins and aunties and uncles came to me and Logan’s house for a swim.

First we went to feed the animals. Then we went to go play with the dogs and we were hiding in the tent with them because the people came. A person was hiding by the tent and I stuck my head out and they jumped out it was scary! Then we went for another swim.

Next we ate a lot of chocolate and chocolate cookies too. Then we went for another long swim.

Last we went for a ride to pat the horses and then we went to go in the tent to play mad dog with our dog Marley. He bit my friends t-shirt and her pants and I kept on falling down laughing and I could not breathe. My family stayed for another night and the cars went broom on the second day as we waved goodbye.

They were amazing fun days.

Today Nicole and Logan brought Marley to room 12. Marley is a boy dog, he is white and good. I feel good at school when he is here.

The Soaking Puppy

Marley, me, mum and dad went to the beach.

 First we took Marley out into the big waves and he was terrified of the crashing and bashing waves.

 When we took him right out a big wave smashed him right over.

 Then mum took him out to dry Marley was shivering. When mum put him on the sand he got all sandy and dirty rolling around.

 Last we took him to the warm sand to get nice and warm in the sand. He dug a little hole.

 I love my fluffy puppy.

The Amazing Mum

On the weekend my mum came to my grandmas and my house.

First I came back from school and played play station. I played Little Big Planet 2 and Castle Crashers and found out that my mum had exciting news.

Next we went to the shop and got mushrooms and chocolate wafers. We got mushrooms because we were having them in our dinner. We had chicken for dinner. After dinner I watched a movie on the computer.

Finally I went to Lucas” and Cameron’s house and my mum went home. When I came home I played Castle Crashers and Bakugan Battle Brawlers.

It was fun.

Missy & the Chocolate Factory

In the Christmas holiday I went to Cadburyland in Dunedin with Nana and Ben.
First we went to have a look around and I smelled chocolate.
Next we got the badges I got the last badge.
Then we saw Santa.
At last we got some chocolate and went to the movies and watched puss in boots.
I cannot wait to go to Cadburyland again.

The Big Drive to Farm Park

On Sunday the 12th of February, the Crum family and I Went to a farm park all the way in Auckland.

First the Crum family and I went on a huge drive to Auckland. We were playing on the cell-phones in the car.
Second we got there, got our food for the animals and off we went.
First of all we held the animals; two rabbits they were smiling at us, cute! Then we held a chick and a rat. Yuck the rabbit did a small poo on me!!!! I held a piglet a sleep it was snoring lol.
Last we got onto the ride we saw the sky tower. After that we hopped off then we went to the maze. Since we were leaving soon we went in the maze there was a goat in there and some birds.
After that we got off the maze and had lunch then we went to ride on the horses and ponies. I did not ride the ponies because I was too big. I had a ride on the horse instead.
Then we went for a huge drive back to Waiuku and I was going to stay at my friends house for dinner but I was too tired.
I would love to go back to the farm park!

Christmas

On Christmas day my family came to my house to celebrate Christmas.
First we went in the pool and played cool games.
Next we opened our presents and I got snuggle puppy . I was so
surprised.
I got some smiggle too. Then we went in the pool again.
In the end we had dinner and went home. It was the best Christmas.

In the holidays I went on Steve’s boat it was fast.

Getting a toy gun

In the holidays me and my mum went to the warehouse to get a toy gun.

I chose an awesome hawk gun, when I reload the shell pops out the side.

Then we paid for the gun.
Later we went home. When I got home I tested my gun and shot the window. I thought my nerf darts would fit in the gun but they did not fit in the gun.

My hawk gun rocks.

The Trip to the Gigantic Boat

On Saturday the 21 January it was 1 day before Chinese New Year.
Me and my cousin/Uncle and my Aunty all went to the giant boat.

First we got off the tram at a fair.
After that we went to the food shops then we went on a scary ride! Next we went inside the big bulgy! Boat and got a shiny balloon that was as shiny as the sun.

Lastly we got to meet the Chinese stars and I got all the stars awesome signatures!

Finally we went home.

It was awesome!!!
